The cyber domain featured prominently during the city-state’s ASEAN Chairmanship this year. ASEAN’s cyber challenge is immense as states try to balance the opportunities afforded by the digital economy – which is a significant driver of economic and technological progress – with the challenges due to the increased sophistication of cyber threats in an increasingly networked world. From the ASEAN Cyber Capacity Program (ACCP) to the ASEAN Cybersecurity Cooperation Strategy, all necessary measures are being taken to make cyber security the top priority for the ASEAN region.
EC Council is proud to announce its upcoming “ASEAN Cyber Security Summit” supporting the vision of “Building a resilient and innovative ASEAN”. This summit will cover various topics like data security and data sharing vulnerabilities, cyber threat intelligence, challenges in building a smart nation and artificial intelligence in cyber security to name a few.
The summit has been aligned with the vision of the ASEAN leaders affirming the importance of digital literacy and cyber wellness. It will be a day long program on the 17th August bringing together 150+ senior security professionals and stakeholders from across the ASEAN region and internationally to discuss and debate on challenges and vulnerabilities faced by various industries in the process of upgrading themselves digitally.
