Bobby Dominguez is an accomplished Internet pioneer and an acknowledged security, risk, and privacy expert. Mr. Dominguez has successfully integrated information security into top-level business initiatives at Home Shopping Network, PSCU Financial Services, and PNC Bank, where he implemented a new technology risk management framework. Under his leadership, the Sykes Global Security and Risk Management team was nominated and selected as one of the 5 best by 2008 SC Magazine “Best Security Team in the US.” Mr. Dominguez was also selected as one of the top 5 Chief Security Officers for the 2009, 2010, and 2013 SC Magazine “CSO of Year.” In 2012 he was a finalist for (ISC)2 Americas Information Security Leadership Awards.

A 2014 graduate of the FBI Citizen’s Academy, Mr. Dominguez is the President of the Board of Directors for the FBI Infragard, Vice-President of ISSA Tampa Bay, and an active member of the US Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force. John Dickson is an internationally recognized security leader, entrepreneur and Principal at Denim Group, Ltd. He has nearly 20 years hands-on experience in intrusion detection, network security and application security in the commercial, public and military sectors. As a Denim Group Principal, he helps executives and Chief Security Officers (CSO’s) of Fortune 500 companies and government organizations launch and expand their critical application security initiatives. His leadership has been instrumental in Denim Group being honored by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the industry for five years in a row.

A former U.S. Air Force officer, Dickson served in the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC) and was a member of the Air Force Computer Emergency Response Team (AFCERT). Since his transition to the commercial arena, he has played significant client-facing roles with companies such as Trident Data Systems, KPMG and SecureLogix Corporation.

Dickson is a popular speaker on security at industry venues including the RSA Security Conference, the SANS Institute, the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) and at other international security conferences. He is a sought-after security expert and regularly contributes to Dark Reading and other security publications. He also regularly contributes to the Denim Group blog where he writes about key security industry issues such as software security and cyber security policy. A Distinguished Fellow of the International Systems Security Association, he has been a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 1998.

Dickson is currently the Chairman of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Cyber Security Committee where economic development, workforce and advocacy issues involving San Antonio’s growing cyber security industry are coordinated. Dickson is also a member of the prestigious Texas Business Leadership Council, the only statewide CEO-based public policy organization that serves as a united voice for the state’s senior executives to participate in the legislative and regulatory process. Most recently, he was the past Chairman of the Texas Lyceum, a leadership group that prepares leaders for the State of Texas and served as Chairman of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. He also served as the local President of the Information Systems Security Association and was an honorary commander of the 67th Cyber Space Wing which organizes, trains and equips cyberspace forces to conduct network defense, attack and exploitation.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science degree from Trinity University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas in Austin. Dickson resides in San Antonio, Texas where he is married with two children.

Tino Mantella joined TAG in September 2004 as the organization’s new President.

Mantella, prior to joining TAG, had amassed over 20 years of related experience leading two of the nations more prestigious volunteer-driven organizations – National Arthritis Foundation and YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago.

As President and CEO of two multifaceted and complex charities, he spearheaded agendas that led to the development of innovative new services, resulting in the facilitation of significant membership growth. In addition, Mantella’s track record reflects impressive results in fund raising, advocacy, and economic development.

Since coming to TAG, Mantella has worked with a team of dedicated volunteers and staff to: build a prestigious board made up of 60 technology stakeholders; grown membership by more than 500%; and added a series of programs and services that support TAG’s vision of educating, informing and uniting the technology community.

Brian Kirkpatrick is the founding shareholder of Kirkpatrick Law PC and a business attorney with a technology focus. Topic: “The Challenges and Opportunities Facing Today’s CISO”

Abstract:
It seemed like a visionary idea in the mid-1990’s – cyber security finally would be taken seriously by inventing a C-suite position. The CISO was born, and every organization wanted one. But unfortunately expectations and results through the years have not matched the outcome. Can a CISO ensure compliance with myriad regulations or international standards? Can a CISO provide for ROI and develop clear risk metrics? Can a CISO defend against the hoards of Chinese, Russian, Syrian, ISIS, and other hackers? The answer to all these questions seems to be a resounding no if you read the papers. This talk traces the history of the CISO, the unfulfilled dreams and hopes of both security practitioners and the companies that hire them, epic failures and successes, and what the future holds for this evolving profession in the face of advanced threats and technology change.

Alejandro Villegas has 10+ years of cyber security experience working for leading enterprises such as Amazon, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, cPanel, among other IT companies. Alejandro has held various security engineering positions and has substantial experience in Secure Development Lifecycle, Operational & Network Security, Penetration Testing, Threat Modeling, Incident Response, Digital Forensics and Compliance. Peter Chronis is the Chief Information Security Officer for Turner Broadcasting, a $10B media, sports and entertainment company headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Pete is responsible for Turner’s information security operations, architecture, governance, compliance and business continuity programs designed to protect the company and its global portfolio of more than 100 brands.

Pete has more than 15-years of experience using technology to manage risk for telecommunications, retail, media, entertainment, financial and IT services companies. He is the inventor of several innovative proprietary IT security technologies that together have blocked more than 750 billion threats and prevented $100M in fraud.

Prior to Turner, Pete was the Chief Security Officer at EarthLink where he was responsible for the company’s security program and product portfolio. He also developed sophisticated proprietary fraud detection systems for Lynk Systems, an Atlanta based financial services company that was acquired by the Royal Bank of Scotland and is now called WorldPay

With over 20 years of experience, Juan Gomez-Sanchez has focused his entire professional life to Information Security. As a security practitioner, Juan held leadership positions building and implementing enterprise security programs at Delta Airlines, CheckFree Corporation (now Fiserv) and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (PCI Level 1 Merchant). As a consultant, Juan worked for Cybertrust (now Verizon Business Security Solutions), Optima Consulting, and Worldwide Technology, providing trusted advisory services and managing the delivery of security consulting services to a wide range of clients by working with executives to address the demands of security on a global and enterprise scale.

He has supported a range of organizations in the development and planning of security programs to meet requirements for establishing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining a security posture.

Juan is currently the Chief Security Officer at Lennar Corporation. Lennar (NYSE:LEN) is ranked as one of the fastest growing ($9.4B) Fortune 500 companies that has built the reputation as one of America’s smartest and most innovative real state, financial services, property development, and capital management companies.

Juan is also very active in the security industry; he contributed as subject matter expert and exam writer for the CISSP certification and ISSAP concentration. He is also a member of the board of advisors for C|CISO certification by the EC-Council

Mark Sutton is Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer at Bain Capital, LP.  Prior to joining Bain he spent 6 years with Dell SecureWorks partnering with organizations to mature all aspects of their information security programs.  He holds the CISSP certification, has an MBA from Babson College, a BSc Honors degree from the University of Gloucestershire in England and completed the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative from Harvard University. In October he will begin an Executive Masters in Cyber Security at Brown University.

Paul is the CISO at HD Vest Financial Services and has over 16 years of various security experiences that includes time spent as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, lead a global information security program for DynCorp International’s logistics and air operations for various government contracts, and led the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Aviation Division vulnerability management program. In addition Paul has been a finalist in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 for Certified CISO of the Year through EC-Council. Paul serves on a variety of Advisor Boards for information security related topics and has a deep dedication to the information security community by mentoring other security professionals.

Charles L. (Chuck) McGann, Jr., is an information security professional at CRGT, a government contractor providing IT and Security services to DOD, Army, USPS, VA among other agencies. In his current role, McGann is working to leverage CRGT capabilities among the Federal Civilian agencies as well as review emerging vendors for possible partnerships for increasing agency support needs. His experience is helping solidify the strategic initiatives roadmap for Cyber and Intel Solutions.

Chuck is the former Corporate Information Security Officer for the United States Postal Service (USPS). In this capacity, he had the responsibility of securing an intranet that is one of the largest maintained by any organization in the world, with over 200,000 workstations; over 45,000 retail terminals; more than 16,000 servers and over 220,000 Mobil Delivery Devices. The USPS infrastructure encompasses over 600 business applications that support all aspects of business operations as well as movement of the mail.

In his 27 years with the Postal Service, Chuck held numerous positions, Including: Manager, Information Systems, Acting Postmaster, Business Systems Analyst, Business Project Leader, Distributed Systems Security Specialist, Manager, Information Security and Incident Response Team Manager.

Chuck holds an MBA from Strayer University, a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, and two Associate’s degrees from Springfield Technical Community College. He is a certified information systems security professional (CISSP), a certified information security manager (CISM) and holds a certification for information assurance methodology (IAM) from the National Security Agency (NSA).

He is the former Co-Chair of the (ISC)2 Government Advisory Board on Cyber Security, and served as a Government Information Security Leadership Awards Judge for the last three years and chaired the Federal CISO for CISO’s quarterly meetings. He is also a member of the Symantec Government Education Advisory Board, the RedSeal Customer Advisory Board, Over his distinguished career has received numerous awards and recognition. He belongs to various national, regional, and local organizations such as the Government Technology Research Alliances’ group, FBI InfraGard, National Security Agency (NSA), and Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA) to name a few.

Igor Volovich presently serves as Vice President and head of Information Security and Cyber Risk Management of Schneider Electric for the Americas region.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Volovich served as a senior and founding member of the Corporate Incident Response and Intrusion Detection Team of Microsoft’s Trustworthy Computing (TwC) organization, where he was responsible for the architecture and management of security controls deployed in protection of Microsoft’s global information assets, as well as internal investigations and incident response functions.

Mr. Volovich has worked with numerous public, private, and governmental organizations, including Microsoft, MSN, IBM, AT&T Wireless, Freddie Mac, FINRA, Estée Lauder, Invensys, US Department of Defense, British Telecom, Pep Boys, Toyota Financial, Aviva, as well as a number of pioneering technology startups such as TeraBeam Networks, eCharge, and LivingSocial.

Seeking to leverage his skills, Mr. Volovich has volunteered for three years as a Flight Officer with Virginia Airborne Search and Rescue Squad serving the Northern Virginia and DC area communities, attaining the rank of Lieutenant and serving as Chair of the Membership Committee and Fundraising Committee member.

Julie is serving as the Head of Information Security Operations at SunTrust where she is accountable for leading both the enterprise wide information security strategy and operations; encompassing Security Design & Engineering, Identity & Access Management, Information Protection, Threat & Vulnerability Management, and the Security Operations Center.

Prior to joining SunTrust , Julie led the Business Analytics and Data Services organization at Nationwide Insurance and Financial Services while also acting as the IT Delivery Executive for the Information Protection program. Before joining Nationwide, Julie served as Chief Security Officer with Symantec where she was building and integrating Symantec’s Cyber & Physical security programs with Information Risk Management.  In addition to Julie’s strategic role within Symantec, Julie played a critical role in Symantec’s new Customer One Program and served as the Executive sponsor for Symantec’s Healthcare Advisory Board.   Julie has broad industry experience within information risk and security, specializing in the management of information security and business resiliency programs. Julie has held key information security, risk governance, and business resiliency assignments at The Ohio State University, Cardinal Health and Bank One/JP Morgan Chase.

Julie was one of the Central Region finalists for the Information Security Executive of the Decade and was the Central Region Information Security Executive of 2010, which are awards sponsored by Tech Exec Networks (T.E.N.).   Currently, Julie is serving as the Anita Borg Institute sponsor at Nationwide, a Trustee with the ISC2 foundation and a Board Member with Drug Free Action Alliance. While at Symantec, Julie served as the co-chair for their Women’s Network and executive sponsor for STEM and the Anita Borg Institute. Julie also has obtained Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP), and Certified Governance Enterprise IT (CGEIT) certifications, participated in Dell’s Software Advisory Board and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Miami University.

Keith has acted as CISO in large multi-national corporations, designed and implemented security governance programs, and created risk management approaches for organizations for use in daily operations and specific programs such as large mergers and acquisitions. Keith has sold and delivered multimillion dollar security engagements comprised of several discreet technical and non-technical projects. He has provided executive security consulting in every industry on a global basis. Keith has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master’s of Science degree in Information Systems.

Aaron Hackworth is a Senior Distinguished Engineer with the Dell SecureWorks Counter Threat Unit research group and Office of the CTO. He has been experimenting with computers and computer security for more than 30 years, including 20+ years of professional experience. In his current role, he provides guidance on technical direction and strategy.  Previous roles included threat research as well as establishing and leading the Dell SecureWorks CTU Special Operations team; an elite group responsible for the development of technology, intelligence and methodologies focused on disrupting targeted and other advanced security threats.

Prior to joining Dell SecureWorks, Aaron was a Senior Malware Analyst and Security Researcher at CERT, where he performed critical research for the US Government and led a team that participated in high impact operations for Federal Law Enforcement and the Intelligence Community.  He has worked in IT/Network engineering, operations and security for some of the world’s largest companies.

Mr. Hackworth holds several industry certifications including a CISSP, NOP and EnCE. He also holds multiple academic degrees including an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Computer Science.

Marten Mickos is the CEO of HackerOne. Previously, Marten served as CEO at Eucalyptus, a cloud software company acquired by HP where he then served as the SVP of the cloud division. Before that, he was CEO of MySQL, an open-source database company acquired by Sun Microsystems for $1 billion in 2008. At Sun he served as SVP of the database division.

Over 35 years of experience in providing Executive Level management in the area Information Technology field as a CIO, CSO, and CISO.

Mark started his working career in the Army and retired as a Colonel (select). During his military service Mark held many different command and staff positions in many different fields to include Human Resources, Intelligence, Communications and Information Technology. The pinnacle of Marks career he was nominated and selection to work at the White House as the CIO/CISO equivalent, supporting President Clinton, the VP, the White House Staff, and the U.S. Secret Service managing all the classified automation and telecommunications. Mark is a combat veteran.

Since retiring from the service Mark has held multiple leadership positions in IT and InfoSec. CIO/CSO for World Airways – the largest US wide body long-hall charter airline at that time. Deputy CIO (over Global Operations) and CISO for InterCall – the world’s largest conferencing company. Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for TravelClick – a Software as a Service (SaaS) company in the hospitality/hotel space. Consulted as the Acting/Interim CISO for the Georgia Lottery and NCR. Currently Mark is the Director Global PCI Security and Compliance for US Bank/Elavon – US Bank is the fifth largest bank in the US and Elavon is the fourth largest credit card processor.

Mark’s educations include being a Certified Chief Information Officer (C|CIO), a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a certified Toastmaster Competent Communicator (CC). He holds Master Degree’s and is a graduate of both the National Defense University & University of Montevallo. Along with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.

Mark’s Honors include being a published Information Security and Cyber Security specialist, a noted speaker and panel member in the Information Security field. A CISO of the year finalist in 2013, a Global CISO of the year in 2014 finalist, and a National InfoSec Project award winner in 2013 and a finalist InfoSec Project award winner in 2015. His military honors include the Presidential Service Badge, the Legion of Merit, the Soldiers Medal (highest peace time valor award in the army), the airborne & air assault badges and much more.

Colonel Gelhardt continues to give back to his community as a volunteer in the Georgia State Defense Force holding the position as the CIO/CISO, handling Communications, Information Technology, and Cyber for the Defense Force (a Georgia National Guard auxiliary). Mark is also a Lt Col in the Civil Air Patrol (an Air Force auxiliary), for the largest and most active Squadron in the State of Georgia.

Mitzi L. Hill has worked on evolving technology issues for 20 years, largely with a focus on how new technologies affect consumers, commercial intellectual property strategy and commercial compliance. Her practice focuses on data security and privacy, entertainment and media matters, and technology licensing and development.

Thanks to her strong background in technology and compliance, Ms. Hill handles a number of issues related to data security within a computerized setting. She has worked closely with clients that include retailers, service providers and others to prevent and remedy data breaches. Among other things, she has counseled retailers on hardware and software upgrades, including those for payment card industry (PCI) compliance; has handled national breach notification issues under a variety of state laws; advised on disposition and use of health care records; advised on protection and unauthorized use of consumer credit information; and counseled on communication and customer relations following sensitive breaches. Ms.Hill writes and speaks frequently on data security and breach issues, including for financial and other professionals.

Ms. Hill also has an extensive background in entertainment, media and intellectual property issues. She works with professionals across Georgia’s film, entertainment and music businesses on various matters. She has handled independent and documentary film productions, NCAA licensing of media and sponsorship rights, program distribution, and music issues involving talent and labels. She also works with a number of independent local studios on various corporate, licensing and industry-specific issues. Before joining Taylor English, Ms. Hill was assistant general counsel with Turner Broadcasting System Inc. During her 15-year career there, Ms. Hill oversaw a wide range of questions related to technology policy, intellectual property strategy and compliance, both in the United States and globally. Her work for Turner included technology licensing and maintenance; programming licensing for television and digital properties; distribution of programming on digital networks; regulatory compliance and training, including Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements and privacy; domestic and international programming sales; and general corporate secretarial matters.

In her policy and compliance role, Ms. Hill worked closely with Turner’s parent company on government affairs matters regarding consumer privacy online, entertainment and media, technology and consumer affairs, and technology and copyrights. She has experience with both legislative and regulatory matters.

Ms. Hill also drafted and maintained the initial privacy policies for several Turner websites, including CNN.com. She negotiated data ownership, use and disposition provisions in e-commerce and other agreements. She led the efforts to build online platforms compliant with closed caption requirements. She represented Turner in the industry group that developed an authentication framework for online television access. That work covered antitrust questions, consumer data and strategic questions about copyrights in a digital environment. Ms. Hill also oversaw compliance matters such as FCPA training, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issues and Adam Walsh Act records. She also oversaw the company’s FCC licenses, for both production and broadcast. Ms. Hill has substantial experience in programming-related issues and programming distribution via disruptive models. While at Turner, she worked closely with studios and other programming networks to coordinate intellectual property/copyright policy in FCC proceedings and with respect to draft legislation affecting copyright holders.

Under Ms. Hill’s oversight, Turner created an online copyright program to address emerging technologies such as video sharing. Ms. Hill created and managed a team to clear programming rights across the company’s portfolio of networks and licensed territories. This paved the way for increased international syndication of TV and digital content. Ms. Hill’s work in this regard evolved from her background in technology, but also from time spent overseas, where she oversaw the legal function for the distribution of the company’s networks in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to going in-house, Ms. Hill was in private practice at King & Spalding, where she focused on technology and media issues, including satellite distribution, copyright infringement and First Amendment claims. While there, she worked with major entertainment, marketing and sports organizations on their trademark and copyright disputes, and represented several software owners in infringement proceedings.

In her free time, Ms. Hill plays a lot of tennis, works on civic and charitable causes, and supports the Tide. She also travels; in the last 10 years, she has been to Egypt, Hong Kong, Italy, Jordan, New Zealand, Syria, Thailand and other points distant.
