Dave Summitt

Chief Information Security Officer Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute

Bio

Dave is the Chief Information Security Officer at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida. His passion for technology and cyber security continues through his 35 years of experience in information technology in both federal and private sectors. A 21 year federal career with the Department of Defense preceded his entry into Healthcare security, in which he has been actively engaged in for the past 10 years. Dave earned his undergraduate degree in Information Systems Management from the University of South Florida and his Masters in Information Security with a Digital Forensics concentration from Norwich University. He is as a fellow with the Institute of Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT), a national cyber security think tank, a member on the Forbes Technology Council and serves as an adviser to the Center for Cyber Safety and Education. For the past two years, Dave has been identified as one of the “Hospital and Health System CISOs to know” by Becker’s Hospital review. Awards include 2017 ISE Southeast Executive of the Year finalist, 2017 ISE Southeast People’s Choice award and 2019 ISE Southeast Executive of the Year nominee. More recently, he has had the honor of providing U.S. congressional testimony over the security implications to healthcare operations with phone spoofing and robocalls.

Dave speaks at various Cyber Security events throughout the country on topics ranging from building security teams and cyber awareness to roles and responsibilities of CISOs as well as providing recommendations and insights into cyber threats and incident response.

Rob Johnston serves as Head of Operations for the Banking Solutions organization within FIS, a global Fortune 100 company. In this role, Rob reports directly to the President that is responsible for developing and delivering FIS’ banking, wealth, payments offerings for financial institutions, retail, government and corporate clients across the globe in more than 100 countries.

In this role, Rob has responsibility for Risk, Information Security, and Compliance within the business, performance reporting and analytics, and cross divisional initiatives driving efficiency and effectiveness.

Previously, Rob served as the FIS Deputy Chief Risk Officer that included risk oversight of FIS products and services worldwide including software, services and technology outsourcing. Prior to joining FIS, Rob spent 20+ years in risk management and other strategic roles at Bank of America.

Rob is a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO), Certified in Information Security Management (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and a certified Six Sigma (6) Black Belt.

Roota Almeida is the Chief Information Security Officer at Delta Dental of New Jersey and Connecticut (DDNJ, Inc.). Roota has been instrumental in helping to establish Delta Dental of New Jersey’s Office of Information Security and leading the development and implementation of enterprise-wide information security strategy, policies, risk assessments and controls. She believes more women should be encouraged to pursue STEM careers and has started a summer internship program at DDNJ, Inc. specifically designed to give graduating female high school students insight into the field of corporate cybersecurity.

Prior to joining Delta Dental, Roota was the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Covanta Holdings Corp., a leader in Energy-from-Waste. As CISO, she led all aspects of Information security and risk, including global information security awareness programs, policies, business continuity, and incident response teams.

With over 15 years of direct experience in establishing and maintaining global security strategies, architectures, standards, and compliance Roota drives the necessary cultural changes to affect measurable improvements in organizations’ security posture.

Roota is a recognized industry thought leader who serves as a member of the Board of Advisors at several organizations, a governing body chair for Evanta’s NJ CxO Summits and other technology conferences, a faculty and a security awards judge. Her in-depth experience and expertise in the field of information security and risk management can be measured by the various articles, eBooks, interviews, and podcasts she has to her credit. Roota is also working to build and encourage new talent and solutions in the security arena.

Joseph has worked in a broad range of industries such as Banking/Finance/Insurance, E-commerce, Entertainment, Fashion, and Aerospace. Joseph is currently the Chief Information Security Officer for Scotiabank US where he has improved the security posture through the reduction of security risks on IT systems and increased awareness training. He has a Master of Science with Distinction in Information Security and Assurance from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science with Summa Cum Laude in Computer Forensics from Pace University. He holds industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL Foundation, Six Sigma Green Belt, and ACE: Access Data Certified Examiner for Forensics. Joseph is on the Board of Directors for ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter as a Co-Chair for the membership committee where he manages the hosting of cybersecurity industry related events for the NY cybersecurity community. Joseph is also on the advisory board for an incident response/forensic and advisory company called LIFARS. Marco Túlio has more than 17 years of experience, working in different industries as Banking, Digital companies, Utilities and Retail. He has contributed to develop a very innovative cybersecurity program to the main Energy Company in Brazil, and developed a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Program to the largest Data Information Company in Brazil, protecting data for more than 38 million corporative customers.

Marco is the Head of Information Security at MUFG Brasil S.A. where he has been running a strategic program to manage Cybersecurity risks and to be compliant with Cyber security and Privacy regulations, which includes the new Brazilian Data Privacy Law (LGPD). He is graduated in Information Technology Management with MBA in Information Security Management.

Marco has earned 4 cybersecurity and Information Security awards for the projects the he led, including the first Cybersecurity Program in Brazil focused in Critical Infrastructure Protection for the Energy industry that provides energy generation and distributions for the two main critical regions of Brazil. He also coordinated the Cybersecurity initiatives to protect the critical infrastructure during the FIFA 2014 Soccer World Cup in Brazil.

He is CISSP, CISM, ITIL, COBIT, ISO 20.000 and PMP certificated. Marco has a deeper technical and management background on different topics of Infosec and stays current with the latest technologies, security reports, and he has been participating in many security conferences and roundtables as panelist and speaker. He is always looking for ways to improve the security posture of the companies that he works.
