Jay Bavisi is the Co-Founder and President of EC-Council, a global leader in information security education, training, and certification. Formed following the tragedy of 9/11/2001, EC-Council addresses cyber terrorism by striving to educate both information security professionals as well as the public. EC-Council owns and developed the world famous Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), Secure Analyst (ECSA), and Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) programs.

Jay led the efforts in establishing the partnership with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), an arm of the United Nations, via the International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats (IMPACT) to develop sustainable knowledge and capabilities in information security awareness amongst government agencies in 194 member countries. He also led the charge to form a not-for-profit initiative to establish the world’s first global ethical hacking games, Global CyberLympics with the goal of raising awareness towards increased education and ethics in information security through a series of cyber competitions that encompass forensics, ethical hacking, and defense. He regularly shares his insights with law and policy makers at various international conferences and seminars around the world. His audiences include executives of multinational corporations as well as the public via his regular appearances on local and international television shows and print media – including being interviewed by CNN and Fox News regarding information security and ethical hacking.

Dato’ Arif Siddiqui is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia (SCBM) and he also holds the role of Group CIO of Islamic Banking Standard Chartered. As CIO, Dato’ Arif oversees the full spectrum of Technology and Operations and is responsible for systems development, technology support and banking operations for the Bank’s businesses in Malaysia. Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Scope International Malaysia. His greatest achievement was when he led a project revamping the technological infrastructure of SCBM and successfully implemented a state-of-the-art core banking system. The project required Dato’ Arif’s skills in mobilizing over 1,000 employees across multiple geographies.

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Head of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Division in MIMOS, Thillai Raj is the driver behind software development initiatives and roll-out of proof-of-concept solutions to Malaysia’s key economic sectors.

Prior to joining MIMOS, Thillai Raj was Director of Systems Engineering Group in Motorola and Senior Director of Global Engineering in Flextronics.

In his capacity as CTO of MIMOS, Thillai Raj orchestrates a rapid development process for software engineering labs and institutionalises CMMI industry practices. Having been involved in Electronics Design and Manufacturing for 20 years with 15 years of management experience, Thillai Raj also possesses in-depth technical skills in Software Engineering.

Under his leadership and guidance, Thillai Raj has led Motorola and MIMOS in achieving CMMI Level 5. He holds a Six Sigma Black Belt and has seven patents to his name

Ramzi Sharif is currently the Chief Risk Officer of Maybank Investment Bank, effective on 2 May 2013. He has collectively more than 18 years of experience in the banking and financial services. He started his career in Bank Negara Malaysia, and joined Maybank in 2009 as the Head of Industry Research under the Credit Risk Management Department. He was then assigned to oversee the Research and Knowledge Management Department under Group Risk. In May 2013, he was appointed as the Chief Risk Officer of Maybank Investment Bank, responsible for credit and risk management in MIBB.

He graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and Master of Commerce (Economics). He was conferred Certified Credit Professional (Business) by AICB (previously, IBBM) in 2013.

Dr Amirudin Abdul Wahab (“Dr Amir”) is currently the Chief Executive Officer of CyberSecurity Malaysia, a strategic agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia and the agency that monitors sovereignty of the country. He has more than 20 years of ICT working experience in the telecom and IT sector in the Government as well as in the semi-government and private sectors.

Through his leadership at Cybersecurity Malaysia, Dr Amir managed to contribute to Malaysia’s achievement in attaining number #3 rank in the world, in the 2014 International Telecom Union (ITU) Global Cyber Security Index and becoming the first World Trustmark Alliance Chairman to be reappointed to a second term, was selected to receive an ASEAN Award as the Outstanding Chief Information/Security Officer Award. He is also a POLCYB (The Society of The Policing of Cyberspace) Non-Executive Board of Directors for year 2015 to 2018.

He served as a National Committee Member of the e-Sovereignty Committee chaired by the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, the National Chairman of the Industry Standards Committee on Information Technology, Communications and Multimedia (ISC G), Chairman of Impartial Committee for Malaysian Software Testing Board (MTSB), Board member of the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM), Chairman of PIKOM Information Security Committee and also a Board member of Cloud Security Alliance, Malaysia Chapter. He is also an OIC Task Force Member on ICT and Cyber Security and a Fellow at Malaysian Institute of Management. Dr Amir was also appointed by the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia as one of the high-profile 11 member Independent Panel Committee of the Ministry of Education chaired by Tun Zaki Hamid, the former Chief Justice, to study National Examination Board examination systems

Dr. Harold is an Information Technology Officer with the Malaysian Public Service, currently serving at the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN). She has served previously at the Malaysian Administrative Modernization and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

She has 20 years of experience working in the Malaysian Public Service overlooking various portfolios of ICT such as governance, strategic planning and project management as well as overseeing the planning, implementation and maintenance of ICT systems, applications, networks, operations and security.

Aizuddin is an information security, risk, compliance and audit professional with more than 20 years of working experience in various industries including telecommunications, financial, trading, manufacturing, plantation, property, motors, heavy equipment, energy, utilities, healthcare and shared services.

He is an ISACA member and professionally certified as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) and CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) with broad knowledge in IT Governance and Controls Framework i.e. COBIT, RiskIT and ISO27001, as well as practical experience in IT risk assessment, IT policy management, data analytics, vulnerability assessment, penetration tests, security architecture and solutions, data protection, security incident monitoring, identity & access management, digital forensic and audit techniques. To note his achievement in information security profession and leadership, he has been recently awarded as 2015 Cyber Security Professional Of the Year (by Cyber Security Malaysia) in addition to other prestigious awards received in 2010 for Information Security Project of the Year (by Cyber Security Malaysia) and Best Security Strategy Finalist (by MIS Asia).

At present, he is the Vice President I and Head of IT Risk & Security Management for the Sime Darby Group. Sime Darby is a key player in the Malaysian economy as well as a diversified multinational, with businesses in key growth sectors namely, plantations, industrial equipment, motors, property and energy & utilities with operations in more than 20 countries.

William or Bill as he prefers to be called has had an impressive career covering most aspects of the Information Technology spectrum, the last 10 years of which have been in South East Asia, with the majority of the time supporting organizations within Malaysia. He likes to look at issues and problems in their most simplistic forms as he feels there is a general tendency to over complicate Infrastructure Technology leading companies into the abyss of over expenditure and operational complexity, and he believes this eventually lead’s organisations down the path of instability and vulnerability.

He is a very experienced and innovative executive that specializes in; IT Management, IT Projects, IT Operations, IT Strategy and IT Architecture. Throughout his career he has gained more than 20 plus years of ground up hands on experience delivering business value and solutions, starting his professional career in IT mounting tapes for one of the largest outsourcing MNC’s around.

During the 20 plus years, he has covered the majority of Infrastructure Technology ecosystems across many industries, ranging from Immigration departments, Energy Companies, FSI’s and Telecommunications companies.

Currently Bill is the General Manager of Technology Operations at Hong Leong Bank, in this capacity he has oversight of the entire Infrastructure Technology ecosystem for the Bank and is responsible for ensuring availability, efficiency and security for the bank as a whole, he also plays an integral role in enabling the Bank’s digital vision and road map.

In addition, specialist in ISO 27001 implementation, vulnerability assessment, security governance and network/system audits. Responsible for developing and delivering HP’s Security consultancy for the Financial, Telecommunications and Corporate sector across the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining the workforce, worked as a trainee in Agilent Technology Worldwide Support Team for Windows NT servers in Stuttgart, Germany. Conducted a culture awareness workshop and has been appointed chairperson for the corporate social responsibility workshop hosted by University of Tuebingen, Germany.

Nishal is presently working as Head of Enterprise Risk Management, and was previously Head of IT Strategy, Planning & Governance in Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad; whereby he’s responsible of driving the group level IT strategies and Collate with Business drives. He was formerly running his own IT company whereby he was given a contract of IT needs from his clients. He was also a Consultant (Project Manager) in Tech Mahindra; whereby he was assigned the task to lead all IT projects into success. He started his career in Maxis Communication Sdn. Bhd., where he hold his last position as Senior IT Project Manager (IT Strategy and Planning). Nishal is an expert in IT Strategic direction and puts effective business strategies to drive IT agenda across the group. He is also a firm believer of cost-cutting technologies, who oversees the progress of each work to its completion. Nishal currently holds Masters in Telecommunication/IT (University Malaya-Malaysia). Victor Lo is an experienced professional more than (16) years of information security and risk consulting experience in both enterprise information security solution and specialize on threat intelligence framework.

Over the years, he has served businesses across the region of the Asia South countries such as India, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Experience dealing with vertical industry primarily in South East Asia market and including Fortune 500 companies.

Victor currently attach with MDEC heading the information security industry development. His key role will be driving security as catalyst for digital transformation for the nation and promote collaboration among security industry vendors and innovation for security ecosystem.

Murari is a seasoned Information Risk Management professional with over 16 years experience in Information Security, Outsourcing & Supplier Management, Business Continuity, Information Systems Auditing and IT Risk Management. Possessing the experience from both a commercial and a consulting perspective, Murari has successfully managed multinational and multi-location teams in global strategy & governance definition and implementation, operational service delivery, supplier management and transformational initiatives. Murari is currently Head of Information Security at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) where is responsible for providing leadership for all information security services delivered from the SCB Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Malaysia as well as having functional accountabilities for Security Monitoring & Response and Identity & Access Management capabilities globally. Prior to joining SCB, Murari was attached to British American Tobacco (BAT) where he assumed a number of senior roles in Information Security and IT Strategy & Transformation. Murari was also attached to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Malaysia where he was the Practice Lead for the Information Assurance and Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) group. He has spoken at conferences and specialist forums in Malaysia and Singapore on the areas of information security, cloud computing, consumerisation, business continuity planning and strategic outsourcing, authored professional articles and possesses various management and technical certifications. Being a passionate advocate of professional skills enhancement, Murari is also an active member of professional associations such as the Information Systems Audit and Controls Association (ISACA) where he has served on the ISACA International Professional Standards Committee (PSC), Professional Standards and Career Management Committee (PSCMC) and the Board of Directors for the ISACA Malaysia Chapter.

Maslina Daud, a certified Information security professional is the Senior Vice President of the Cyber Security Proactive Services in CyberSecurity Malaysia and has had 14 years of experience in information security. Under her purview, she oversees the Cyber Security Proactive Services operations. She has also served National Security Council at the Prime Minister’s department related to Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII) sectors protection of the country. She is also actively involved in committees involving information security related standards development. In 2010, she was awarded Information Security Leadership Awards (ISLA) by ISC2; an international recognition for information security professional for Asia-Pacific.

Started career in Information Security field with a local bank. Experienced in technical writing and establishing security policies, manual and standard operating procedures such as Information Security Baseline, platform specific security guideline, IT Risk Framework etc. Perform hands-on activities of server hardening, security assessment, security log review etc. Joined a foreign bank in Nov 2007 and in Nov 2008 was assigned with additional portfolio i.e. Operational Risk Management. In ops risk experienced in developing Ops Risk Mgmt Framework for the Bank to be inline with ISO31000 & Basel II requirements. Sudesh Kumar is an Advocate & Solicitors of the High Court of Malaya and obtained his Bachelors of Law (Honours) from Multimedia University. Sudesh Kumar is an Associate at Messrs Rusmah Arunan & Associates, in Kuala Lumpur.

Sudesh Kumar specializes and maintains a broad litigation practice in the areas of civil and criminal litigation matters which includes but is not limited to aviation law, cyber defamation, transnational litigation disputes, contractual and tortious disputes, commercial contracts, land disputes, company disputes, family law matters and various criminal matters ranging from murder cases to drug related offences.

Dr. Rezal Khairi Ahmad was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of NanoMalaysia in June 2012. As NanoMalaysia first employee, he crafted the company structure, developed business model and corporate positioning strategy relative to like-minded government agencies and relevant industries In February 2013, Dr Rezal’s appointment was upgraded to Chief Executive Officer.

Between August 2012 and February 2013, Dr. Rezal also served as Acting Under Secretary of National Nanotechnology Directorate, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
