A 20-year veteran of television news, Blair joined our firm in 2008, adding his award-winning experience to our JS Cultivation team. He is a staple in our client training sessions and contributes mightily to issues management situations.
While on the air, Blair earned six regional Emmy awards and was recognized as the “Best Live Reporter” by the Phoenix New Times and the Associated Press. Gannett Broadcasting recognized him three times with a “Best of Gannett” award.
Blair was on track to become an aerospace engineer until a family friend invited him to intern at the ABC-TV news bureau during his freshman year at Georgia Tech. The newsroom was the perfect launching pad for his curiosity and competitive spirit, and he soon transferred to the University of Missouri’s renowned journalism program.
His first job after college put him to the test before he ever got started. Originally, turned down after sending his tape for consideration, Blair asked for a second chance. When the news director questioned if he had the entrepreneurial chops to generate story leads, Blair secretly drove five hours to investigate the “goings on” in Brunswick, Ga. Within 48 hours he had met town leaders and called his future boss to report 36 stories he could develop right away. Needless to say, he got the job at the CBS affiliate in Savannah.

Later career stops moved him to Greensboro, NC and Phoenix, AZ where he covered breaking news, extreme sports, and served as a substitute anchor. Prior to Jackson Spalding he spent five years at WXIA-TV (NBC) Atlanta as a reporter.

A native of Lilburn, GA, Blair has returned to where it all started – buying his parents’ former home and living there with his wife. You can spot him playing church-league basketball or working on home improvement projects when he’s not helping clients get ready for “prime time.”
